Welcome to the Payne Springs VFD website
Volunteers are wonderful

Did you know that running a volunteer department is a tough job. It takes many volunteers serving many hours every day. From medical calls to fire related emergencies we respond to them all. Our volunteers are wonderful, they bust their tails to respond without fail and all of our members do their best. Just think, in 2009 we responded to over 800 calls. That is very busy for a volunteer department. We have to keep our members protected and with the newest technology in order to save lives and property. Our department has gone through many changes over the past years. From the start of our purchasing our first custom engine in 2000, to our recent purchase of our new 2010 Engine we are about to receive, we try to keep up with the community. Back behind all the trees there are large homes that require the correct apparatus to fight a fire if needed. We had bad luck with a 95' platform tower that we tried to save dollars and find one that was cheap, and that is what we got, a worn out unit that was not taken care of.  Due to that reason, we are working on a plan to upgrade our current unit which has many issues. A new unit cost $900,000 plus, and a used certified unit would cost around $200,000. Please help us to help you! We need the extra support that assists us in getting the extra's we need. Spread the word!

Every time you shop at the PSVFD store or buy something from the Amazon ad on the right, it helps support our website maintenance.  You have to do your holiday shopping anyways right?  So help us out and shop Amazon from the ad on our homepage.

Shop at the PSVFD Store.  It helps support the upkeep of our website and there's just lots of cool stuff.

Thank you
